If you rent out cars that belong to someone else, RoveHQ works out the owner's share each month.
Set the owner on the vehicle
- Open the vehicle and tap Edit.
- Open Owned by someone else.
- Enter the Owner's name, Owner's phone and Their share (%).
- Under Share of, choose:
- Money in (you pay the costs): they get a % of the rent.
- Profit after the vehicle's costs: they get a % of what's left after that car's costs.
- Save.
See and send the statement
- Go to Reports and tap Owners' statements.
- Use the arrows to pick the month.
- There's one statement per owner, with Your share this month at the top. For each of their vehicles you see Money in, Costs, Profit, their share, and every entry for the month.
- Tap Print or save as PDF and send it to the owner.
Extras you provide, like a child seat or airport delivery, are left out. They're your business's own service, and the statement says how much was left out.
Unlike Reports, a yearly cost like insurance counts in full in the month you paid it, not as monthly shares.
Make sure every cost for those cars is recorded against the right vehicle, or the owner's figures will be off. See Add a cost.
