For vehicles that are already out with a customer. No booking link needed.
On the booking form
- Bookings > New booking > Already out.
- Choose the vehicle, then the customer (you need one here, because it's saved as on rent straight away).
- Set the Rental start date to when it really started, even if that was months ago. Add the end date, or tick Open-ended (no return date yet).
- Check the rate and deposit. If they paid several months ahead, tick that under More options.
- Tap Continue. There's no handover step.
- Answer What has the customer paid so far?
- Up to date: everything due so far is paid.
- Paid until a date: anything due after that date shows as owed.
- Nothing paid yet: everything due shows as owed.
- If you already have their deposit, tick You are holding the ... deposit.
- Tap Save rental.
The booking shows as On rent. Future rent appears on the Payments tab and your dashboard, and reminders go out if you've turned them on.
The handover form is optional for these. If you want a signed agreement, open the booking and tap Create booking link under Customer's link.
Customer is in front of you now
Tick Starting right now, and taking payment today, enter what they paid on the last step and tap Record walk-in rental.
Let the assistant do it
Faster if you have a few.
- Open the quick menu and choose Tell the assistant, or tap Assistant on the Fleet page.
- Tell it who has what. Type, talk, or paste a Google Sheet link. For example: "The white Yaris is with Anna Smith, +66 81 234 5678, since 3 March, 9,000 a month, next payment 3 November, 5,000 deposit."
- It needs the name and phone, start date, price and whether per day/week/month, the next payment date (or return date) and any deposit.
- Check the list and tap Add ... rentals. Nothing is saved before that.

Questions
Does rent they already paid show as income?
Yes. It goes into Money in & out on the date each payment was due. Months paid ahead (under More options) count on the start date.
