You paid for a repair, a fine or fuel, and the customer should cover it. You record it once: it goes in as your cost, and the customer gets the bill.
From the booking
- Open the booking and tap More > Add a cost.
- Choose the type (repair, fine, fuel and so on), enter what you paid, the date, and add the receipt if you have one.
- Charge this to the customer is already ticked, with this booking picked.
- Enter the Amount to bill. It can be different from what you paid.
- Save.
What happens to the money
- If you still hold a deposit, the charge comes out of it first. RoveHQ shows how much, e.g. "฿2,000 comes out of the deposit held (฿5,000)".
- If the charge is more than the deposit, tick Bill the customer the other ... to put the rest on their booking. Untick it if insurance or someone else is paying.
- The customer is told, and can pay the bill from their booking page. When they pay, it's money in.
- Your cost stays as money out either way.
Traffic fines
Fines often arrive weeks later. Open the vehicle and tap Record a fine. Set the date of the offence: whoever had the vehicle that day is billed, and it comes out of their deposit if you still hold it.
From any cost
On Record money in or out, when you add a repair, servicing, fuel, fine, accessories or other cost on a vehicle that has bookings, you'll see Charge this to the customer. Tick it and pick the booking.
At the return check
Missing fuel and new damage can also be charged straight from the return check. See Handover and return checks.
Questions
