Record a payment you were expecting
- Go to Money in & out and tap Record money (on a phone: the + button, then Record money in or out).
- RoveHQ lists the payments customers owe you first, for example "Rent for Honda Click · due today". Tap the one you got. (Tap Show … more if it's not in the first five.)
- Tap Use this payment.
- Check the Amount (฿) and Date, then tap Save.
The rent is marked as paid on the booking, and any matching job on your To do list is ticked off.
Record money that isn't on the list
- Tap Record money, then Something else if a list of payments shows.
- Keep Money in selected.
- Pick What was it for? (usually Rental income) and the Vehicle.
- Pick the Booking (optional) if there is one. The customer fills in by itself.
- Enter the amount and date, then Save.
While you type, RoveHQ keeps looking for a matching payment. If it asks Is this the payment you're waiting for?, pick it so the booking gets marked paid too.
Recorded rent before the booking existed? RoveHQ can join them up later. See Link payments to a booking.
From the booking instead
Open the booking, find the payment and tap Record payment. Enter the Amount received, Date received and Payment method, add a Note if you want, and tap Confirm received.
Keep the transfer slip
- Add it under Receipt photo (optional) on the form, or
- Use Upload a receipt from the + button, choose A payment you're waiting for, pick the payment, tap Continue, then Save. Payments with the same amount as the slip are marked Same amount.
When the customer sends the slip
Customers can pay and send their slip from their own booking page. It shows on your To do list and as Receipt to check on the Dashboard, and RoveHQ tells you if the amount on the slip is right. Tap View receipt, check the money is in your account, then Confirm received.
Deposits
Pick the deposit from the waiting list, or choose Deposit received under What was it for?. Deposits aren't counted as income. They show in their own Deposits section. See Deposits.
Questions
Does a deposit count as income?
No. It shows under Deposits, not in money in. It only becomes income if you keep it.
