RoveHQ sends these once a day, on your behalf:
- Handover tomorrow, with where and a reminder to finish their details and sign
- Return in 3 days, and tomorrow, with how to keep the vehicle longer
- Rent due tomorrow
- Rent 3 days late
- Service or paperwork due on the vehicle they have, when it falls in the next 7 days
- A change still waiting for their signature, the day after you send it and then every 3 days
Each one goes out once. Customers also get messages when something changes on their booking, like an extension or a payment received.
How they're delivered
- To the customer's chat with you on LINE or Telegram, if they've messaged you there. If that fails, it shows as not delivered on the booking for you to send yourself.
- Otherwise by email, if they gave one.
- Otherwise it waits in your Inbox under messages to send, and on the booking marked "not sent", for you to send from your phone.
LINE and Telegram only let you message people who wrote to you first. Each customer's booking page invites them to open a chat with you, so most bookings sort this out by themselves. See Inbox and messaging.
Turn them off
Go to Settings > Messaging > Messages to customers.
- Switch off Send automatic reminders to stop all of them, and the booking-change messages too.
- Or untick single reminders under Automatic reminders.
It saves straight away.
For one booking
When you add a rental that's already running with the fleet assistant, untick Remind the customer before rent is due (or before it's due back) for that customer. That one box stops every automatic reminder for that booking, not just the one it names. See Rentals already running.
Questions
Will a customer get the same reminder twice?
No. Each reminder goes out once per booking (rent reminders once per payment).
Why are my reminders waiting in the Inbox instead of being sent?
The customer hasn't opened a chat with you, and RoveHQ has no email to use. Send them yourself from Messages to send, or connect LINE or Telegram so it happens by itself next time.
